Trail alert Murwillumbah Station A week‑long program of essential gutter‑replacement works will begin at the Murwillumbah Station precinct from Monday 6 July, with the bus stop and adjacent footpath fenced off as a construction zone and pedestrians directed to alternate entry points. Machinery and materials will be on site, and a full power shutdown is scheduled for Wednesday 8 July from 12pm to allow contractors to work safely. Transport operators have been notified and may temporarily suspend services during this period. 24 June, 2026
Trail alert Trail wide There have been a number of snake sightings along various sections of the Rail Trail. Please take extra precautions, stay on the trail at all times, and keep an eye on where you step or rest. Keep dogs on a lead and children close by. If you encounter a snake, give it space and allow it to move away naturally.
