The Rail Trail is ideal for a safe walk or jog. With the ability to join the Rail Trail at a range of points, your journey can be as long or as short as you like. The trail surface across all open sections is ideal with a combination of sealed and compact gravel with low slopes and inclines making it ideal for all types of ages, abilities and fitness levels. While a number of areas on the Tweed section have a natural shade canopy, please remember to slip, slop, slap, seek and slide when out in our beautiful environment.

There are water bubblers located where town water can be accessed at the Murwillumbah Railway Station, Burringbar and Mooball.

If you are walking your dog, remember they must remain on short leads at all times on the Rail Trail. Pet Poo bags have been installed at Murwillumbah Railway Station, Burringbar and Mooball.
