General advice | Whole Tweed section | Magpie swooping season has begun and can be active from July to November. When using the Rail Trail be aware of the potential risk of swooping magpies and take precautions. Walkers should wear a hat or consider carrying an umbrella, and wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. Riders should always wear a helmet and consider attaching a flag to your bike as a deterrent. | 16 August 2023 |
Types of notification include track closures, major event impacts, planned maintenance and other unplanned impacts that may disrupt rail trail usage. This does not include standard maintenance, weather events, standard debris and other issues we’re unaware of.
If you notice any issues on the rail trail, please use our online form to report a problem / incident.
